Out of stock
A 2004 vintage Inchmurrin from Loch Lomond distillery bottled for Dr Jim Marshall OBE. This is part of a series of very rare bottlings that were only given out to Marshall employees each christmas. Tasting Notes
Colour
Luminous warm amber-gold with honeyed copper highlights and a subtle mahogany edge.
Nose
Sherry-kissed and inviting, with dried fig and raisin, orange zest, and cocoa drifting over warm vanilla and toasted almond. Subtle spice—nutmeg and clove—lingers against polished oak, with a whisper of floral brightness that keeps the aroma buoyant and elegant.
Palate
Silky palate with a bright sherried sweetness carrying ripe plum, orange zest and orchard fruit. Notes of toasted almond, honey and a touch of cocoa emerge, joined by gentle spice—cinnamon and ginger—and a soft oak backbone. Finishes long, warm, with fruit and nut lingering.
Finish
Long, elegant finish with sherry-tinged sweetness, dried fruit and orange zest, carried on velvety oak and gentle spice. A final hint of cocoa and almond lingers, warming the palate with refined, lingering warmth.
