The Mossburn Vintage Casks range are a collection of Single Malt Scotch Whiskies each issuing from a strictly limited and select batch of casks from some of Scotland's most destinguished distilleries.
The Mossburn company of distillers and blenders will have a distillery in the Borders and are also the company behind the new and now operational Torabhaig distillery on Skye.
Each numbered release will only ever yield a finite number of bottles.
Release no 1 is a small batch Linkwood aged for 10 years in a refill Hogshead.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Bright straw-gold with delicate honeyed warmth and a whisper of pale amber.
Nose
Fresh spring flowers mingle with grassy barley, pear drops and milky rice pudding. Stewed apple glides in softly, a hint of candyfloss sweetness, lemon mousse, garden herbs and a whisper of white pepper complete the fragrance.
Palate
Lemon bon bons and freshly baked shortbread lead the palate, with white flowers, sugared almonds and barley sugar. Poached pears in aromatic stock syrup deepen the sweetness as an oily, mouthfilling body coats with a generous, polished texture.
Finish
Curd like, honey and lemon thyme, fresh and floral with marzipan, candied peel and some white pepper and ginger spice.
