Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery-bronze warmth and a subtle ruby-red hue along the rim, a natural, uncoloured glow.
Nose
Heavy peat smoke and coastal iodine rise from the glass, glossy and oily. Red wine cask influence threads through dark fruit—blackberry, black cherry and plum—with vanilla, cocoa and a kiss of spice. Leather and toasted oak provide structure, while a resinous ash lingers, leaving a warming, maritime finish.
Palate
Bold peat and iodine smoke mingle with red-wine fruit notes—plum, raspberry and a touch of dark chocolate. Silky, full mouthfeel, peppery spice and a hint of leather, finishing with lingering peat supported by warm, integrated oak.
Finish
Long, smoky finish with peat and maritime notes, tempered by the red-wine cask finish. Blackberry and cherry unfold with warm tannins, a touch of spice and cacao, and a lingering, salted ember of smoke that fades slowly.
