Batch 2 of Kininvie first released for the UK market in 2014 after a 17 year old for Taiwan Duty Free was released in the same year, you wait ages for any Kininvie to be released and then two come along together!

80% Ex-Bourbon Hogshead casks and 20% Ex-Sherry butt casks.

The most mature Kininvie to be released to date from this secret distillery that very few have heard of let alone tasted.

Tasting Notes

Colour

Deep amber-gold with coppery highlights and a hint of mahogany.

Nose

Sugary vanilla puff pastry, stewed apple, lemon curd, sugared almonds and a dusting of spice.

Palate

Apple strudel and lemon curd unfold over vanillin oak, with a hint of clove, sweet oak and musky ripe peach.

Finish

Praline nuttiness lingers with spiced vanilla, delicate herb notes weaving through, followed by lemon curd sponge pudding and a final kiss of golden syrup.
