Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich, sunlit amber with coppery glints and a whisper of mahogany at the rim.
Nose
Opulent sherry-draped aroma with dark raisins, dried fig, and brown sugar, brightened by orange zest. Rich oak, cocoa, and vanilla mingle with cinnamon spice while a faint nutty, leather undertone adds depth. A whisper of smoke hints at the distillery’s restrained peat and the 22 years in cask.
Palate
Opulent and richly textured, Killyloch's palate reveals dried fruits, orange zest and toffee, entwined with dark chocolate and warming spice. Sherry-influenced sweetness sits on a robust oak backbone, delivering a creamy, waxy mouthfeel with subtle smoke and a long, nutty, cocoa-dusted finish.
Finish
Long, opulent finish with rich dried-fruit sweetness—fig and raisin—interwoven with dark chocolate. Sherry-matured warmth lingers on the palate, mingling toasted oak, spice, and a hint of leather, finishing with a velvety, coffee-kissed glow that slowly fades.
