Named after an inlet on Islay’s rugged Atlantic coast, Sanaig is a vatting of both sherry and bourbon casks. The high proportion of Oloroso sherry influence adding a balance of dried fruits and spices to classic Kilchoman citrus sweetness and peat smoke character.
On the nose there are aromas of fragrant heather, raisins, pear and orange peel with waves of stoned fruits, mixed spices and rich peat smoke. Rich flavours of over ripe plums, red cherries and hints of citrus give way to rich barbeque peat smoke, toffee, oak and dark chocolate. the finish coats the mouth with mixed fruit, caramel, cinnamon and clove with layers of brown sugar, spices, peat smoke and lasting sweetness.

Colour
Deep amber with coppery glow and a mahogany edge.
Nose
Fragrant heather with notes of raisins, pear and orange peel; waves of stone fruits, mixed spices and a rich veil of peat smoke.
Palate
Overripe plums and red cherries mingle with citrus brightness, swept in sherry-driven sweetness. Rich barbecue peat coats caramel, toffee and oak, while dark chocolate adds depth. Mid-palate fruit sweetness softens into cinnamon, clove and brown sugar, finishing with lingering spice, renewed peat and a velvety, enduring sweetness.
Finish
Coats the palate with mixed fruit and caramel, accented by cinnamon and clove. Layers of brown sugar and spices mingle with peat smoke, delivering a lingering sweetness that endures long after the last sip.
