Jura Tastival 2014 Limited Edition Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Out of stock
This "cryptic concoction" has experienced seven different finishes. Starting out in American oak bourbon casks, it was transferred into Jupilles, Les Bertanges, Limousin, Tronçais, Allier and Vosges casks before finally being married in Sherry butts.
Only 3,000 bottles were produced for the 2014 Feis Ile festival and bottled at 44%ABV.
A very adventurous offering from Jura and along with the same company owned Dalmore are at the forefront of the multi cask finishing experimentation going on of late.
This was the first release of "The Tastival" series that have continued to be very different to the core Jura range and finished in a wide selection of different casks.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep golden amber with coppery glints and a warm, reddish-amber edge.
Nose
Earthy forest fruits mingle with piney coastal smoke, wrapped in dark chocolate and linseed oil. Prunes in Cognac, charred pineapple and liquorice toffee weave through mossy heather, delivering a dusky maritime aroma with depth.
Palate
A dense, toasted mouthfeel carries aniseed and smoked toffee, layers of earthy red berries, tarry chocolate, smoky BBQ and lingering savory-leathery notes.
Finish
Dark chocolate and menthol meet salty marzipan, chewy toffee and honeyed baked orchard fruits, with a whisper of coastal smoke.
