Johnnie Walker Swing Blended Scotch Whisky (1980's Bottling)
Out of stock
An older style bottling of Swing bottled at the higher strength of 43%.
Johnnie Walker Swing is an exceptionally smooth premium whisky. Created in the early part of the twenteth century by Sir Alexander Walker, world famous whisky master blender and connoisseur. Inspired by the golden age of transatlanic travel, Sir Alexander's creation captures the essence of luxury travel and is a lasting tribute to the sophistication of the 30's era.
The Swing decanter is also a hallmark of Sir Alexander's creativity. Swing is presented in a uniquely shaped bottle that was designed to combat the problem of rough seas and shelf balance that barmen endured. With a convex base the decanter elegantly rocks back and forth in time with the rocking motion of the waves.
Swing has been enjoyed since its creation by generations of whisky drinkers who have discovered its uniquely smooth and mellow taste.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich golden amber with warm copper undertones.
Nose
Silky and inviting, with a soft orchard-fruit bouquet—juicy pear and ripe apple—mingled with dried fruits and a faint sherry sweetness. Vanilla and honeyed toffee drift over warm oak and a whisper of almond, while faint spice and polished leather lend a refined, voyage-ready elegance on the nose.
Palate
Silky and smooth from the first sip, the palate unfolds with toffee and vanilla, a touch of ripe orchard fruit and subtle dried-fruit notes. Rich oak provides gentle tannin and a whisper of spice, while the 43% abv carries warmth without bite. A mellow, refined middle and a long, soft finish that glides with silky ease.
Finish
Long, velvety finish with warming vanilla and gentle oak; a subtle kiss of spice and orchard sweetness lingers, leaving a refined, mellow afterglow.
