Jack Daniel's 125th Anniversary Decanter Whiskey
Out of stock
In 1990, to celebrate its 125th Anniversary, the Distillery released a 1 liter commemorative bottle filled with 86 proof whiskey. Sold in a box and with a numbered hang tag that could be registered with the Distillery, this bottle honors the hard work that has gone into the Distillery’s long history of success.
Before the Civil War, distilleries were not required to register with the federal government. But in 1866, Congress passed legislation that required registration. Mr. Jack, being the forward-thinking man he was, made sure he was first in line, and that’s why the Jack Daniel Distillery is still listed in the federal record books as “Distillery No. 1.” This 1L decanter, released in 1990, celebrates the 125th Anniversary of “America’s Oldest Registered Distillery” and pays tribute to its founder.
Although Jack registered his Distillery in 1866, he had actually purchased it several years earlier in 1859 from his friend and former employer Dan Call.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with a warm honey-gold glow and copper-tinged edges.
Nose
Sweet vanilla and caramel mingle with toasted oak and warm corn, lifted by a whisper of orange zest. A touch of brown sugar and spice lingers, delivering a mellow, inviting aroma that hints at the whiskey’s classic charcoal mellowed richness.
Palate
Silky and balanced, this Tennessee whiskey pours caramel and vanilla sweetness over toasted oak. Mid-palate brings citrus zest and honey, with a gentle spice weaving through to a warm, softly drying finish accented by a whisper of charred wood.
Finish
Long and refined, the finish coats the palate with vanilla and caramel, slowly giving way to toasted oak. Subtle spice rises, accompanied by a whisper of charcoal smoke, and a warm, lasting sweetness lingers, echoing the whiskey’s signature smoothness.
