Isle Of Harris The Hearach Single Malt Scotch Whisky
In stock
The Hearach is the first, historic Single Malt Whisky from the Isle of Harris, a small island sat off the far-northwest coast of Scotland.
The Hearach is matured in a combination of first fill ex-Bourbon casks, and Oloroso and Fino Sherry butts. The Hearach is lightly peated to between 12 - 15ppm, bottled at 46% abv, non-chill filtered, and free from artificial colouring. A fruity and floral dram with flavours of toasted malt, sweet apple, vanilla and warming spice complimented by subtle wafts of smoke.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich golden-amber with warm coppery highlights and a sunlit honey glow.
Nose
Floral and fruity on the nose, with ripe apple and pear and a kiss of vanilla layered over toasted malt. Gentle spice warms the air while wisps of smoke linger in the background; a subtle sherry-driven sweetness—almond and dried fruit—adds polish and depth.
Palate
This Hearach unfolds with toasted malt and orchard sweetness—green apple and vanilla—woven with delicate spice. Light peat adds a subtle smoke that lingers beside sherry lift from the Oloroso and Fino casks. Silky, mouth-coating texture leads to a medium-long finish, warmly spiced with a gentle echo of smoke, perfectly balanced.
Finish
Long and warming, the finish lingers with vanilla and toasted malt, a gentle sweetness of apple unfolding into spice. A subtle wisp of peat smoke remains as sherry-driven fruit and floral notes fade to a refined, lingering tail.
