Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep, obsidian-brown with lush mahogany and coppery-amber glints.
Nose
Dark, opulent nose of sun-dried raisins and ripe figs, lacquered with Pedro Ximenez sweetness. Treacle, toffee and orange peel drift over roasted coffee, polished oak and subtle vanilla, with whispers of leather and spice from its grain heart.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied and richly sweet, this single grain yields PX depth: fig, prune, date and molasses swirl into vanilla caramel, with toasted almond and dark chocolate emerging. Oak and spice lend structure to a creamy, luxurious mouthfeel. A long, warming finish lingers with dried fruit and a hint of coffee.
Finish
Long, velvet finish of Pedro Ximenez sweetness—raisin, fig and dark plum layered with caramel and cocoa, guided by warm oak and spice. The richness lingers gracefully, fading into a refined, nutty sweetness that stays with you.
