Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep copper-amber with mahogany hues and a sunlit honey-gold rim.
Nose
Sherry-driven and richly aromatic, this nose opens with fig and raisin sweetness, orange zest, and toffee. Dark chocolate and cocoa nibs mingle with toasted oak, while cinnamon and clove lend spice. A whisper of leather and almond paste adds depth, finishing with a polished rancio glow that promises a luxurious, concentrated aroma.
Palate
Opulent and velvety, it coats the palate with rich sherry sweetness—fig, raisin and candied orange mingle with dark chocolate and treacle. Spiced notes of cinnamon and nutmeg ride a sturdy malt backbone, while toasted oak adds structure. A warming, coastal finish unfolds long and luscious, with whispers of leather and sea salt.
Finish
An enduring, opulent finish: dried fig and raisin mingle with dark chocolate, caramel and toasted almond, each sip leaving a glow of orange zest. Oak-spice warmth lingers, a faint sea-salt tang, and a final velvet echo that invites another sip.
