Highland Park Whitlaw - Signatory Vintage Whisky 10 Year Old · 2013 Vintage
Out of stock
Whitlaw is "teaspooned" Highland Park. This mean that whilst the cask overwhelmingly held Highland Park single malt whisky, a tiny amount (a teaspoonful?) of another whisky has been added. This is done to try to halt the trade in casks from major distilleries being bought by independent bottlers and being sold with the major distillery's name.
This Whitlaw is bottled at 46%, and is taken from first and second-fill sherry casks.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold glow and subtle mahogany edges.
Nose
Teaspooned Highland Park opens with honeyed citrus, orchard fruits and figs in a delicate sherry glow. Toasted almond, cacao nib and vanilla spice mingle with a whisper of peat and sea breeze. Cinnamon and clove lift the aroma, while the sherry finish brings warm, toasty depth and a refined oak note that lingers gracefully.
Palate
Whitlaw reveals a soft, honeyed body threaded with Highland Park’s orchard malt and a delicate sherry lift, with razor-thin peat whispering beneath. Dried orange peel, fig, almond biscuit and toffee mingle with warm spice and a subtle saline edge. At 46% it remains lush, delivering creamy vanilla, cocoa nibs and a hint of leather. A long, silky finish carries renewed fruit and gentle oak sweetness.
Finish
Sherried warmth lingers, with dark fig and raisin sweetness wrapping a subtle peat-and-spice core. The finish broadens into velvety oak, cocoa nib, and a final note of orange zest, lingering long with a refined, slightly dry edge.
