Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery highlights and mahogany edges, a warm bronze-gold core that glows with maturity.
Nose
Sherry-drenched aromas rise first, with dried fig, raisin and date, brightened by orange zest and toffee. Vanilla from the bourbon casks lends creamy sweetness, while polished oak offers spice—cinnamon and nutmeg. Cocoa, almond and a whisper of leather deepen the bouquet, with a subtle maritime edge. An elegant, layered aroma that speaks to 21 years of careful maturation.
Palate
Silky, balanced and generous on the palate, with dark dried fruit (fig, raisin) and cocoa, touched by vanilla and almond. Cinnamon and nutmeg weave through refined oak, with a whisper of sherry sweetness from the cask blend. Creamy grain lends velvety depth, finishing long with cocoa, orange zest and a hint of sea salt.
Finish
Long, refined finish of dried fruit, cocoa and orange zest, buoyed by sherry sweetness and vanilla-bourbon oak. The spice lingers, with gentle clove and nutmeg, until a velvety, lasting warmth coats the palate.
