Tasting Notes

Nose

Soft orchard fruits mingle with honeyed barley, vanilla and a delicate kiss of oak. Subtle citrus zest and a hint of almond join a whisper of sherry sweetness, lending warmth and approachable elegance to the nose.

Palate

Silky and balanced on the palate, honeyed orchard fruit with pear and apple, deepened by dried raisin and fig. Vanilla, toffee and soft oak weave through a sherry-influenced profile, finishing warm, nutty and gently spicy.

Finish

Silky and long, the finish reveals sherry-dipped fruit, fig and raisin, threaded with cocoa and vanilla. Toasted oak grounds the sweetness as subtle spice unfolds, leaving a warm, refined glow that lingers gracefully on the palate.

The name developed from high-society wine and spirits merchants into a long-running Scotch whisky blend, with the brand receiving a Royal Warrant from King George VI in 1940.
