Rich honeyed fruit and raisin jam lead the nose, with sweet malt folded in by soft floral notes, a light woody touch and a whisper of vanilla—elegant, warm, and lively.

Palate

Sweet and clean on the palate, this smooth, easy-drinking malt sits in perfect balance. Vanilla and nectar lift the sip, while a hint of fresh fruit adds a soulful, well-rounded sweetness.

Finish

Medium-length and softly rounded, the finish lingers with a mild fruity sweetness and subtle vanilla hints that fade to the very end.

Founded in 2017, the Goalong Distillery is based in China’s Hunan Province, where a humid subtropical climate plays a key role in how the spirit matures. Using locally sourced grains such as barley, rice and wheat, the distillery blends traditional practices (like copper pot distillation and aging in oak barrels) with contemporary techniques. The region’s warmer conditions speed up the aging process, allowing the whisky to develop deeper colour and fuller flavours more quickly than those produced in cooler climates.
