Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with burnished copper highlights and mahogany undertones.
Nose
Opulent and poised, the nose pours from the glass with aromatic depth. Rich dried fruits—prune, fig, raisin—coalesce with dark chocolate and espresso, lifted by orange zest and toasted almond. A generous sherry glow brings spiced warmth: cinnamon, clove, a ribbon of nutmeg. Cedar and aged oak lend structure, while a subtle leather note threads through, finishing with a glossy, resinous warmth.
Palate
Bold, full-bodied and sherry-kissed at cask strength. The palate unfurls with figgy-raisin sweetness, orange peel, and dark chocolate, softly threaded with toffee and toasted almond. Spices—cinnamon, clove, black pepper—emerge against polished oak, finally yielding a long, warming finish of fruit and spice.
Finish
Long, luxurious finish of dried fruits and cocoa, with sherry sweetness wrapping espresso and praline. Spiced oak lingers, a bright touch of orange zest, and hints of leather and tobacco, fading to toasted almond and warm cask spice as the finish evolves.
