A Glenrothes single malt from the Infrequent Flyers series, this 11 year old was distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2020 after maturation in a combination of American oak and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. Bottled at 59.1% ABV, the release was limited to 611 bottles.

Tasting Notes

Colour

Mahogany.

Nose

Brown sugar, coconut and Morello cherries. Heavily stewed raisins and sultanas. Treacle toffee.

Palate

Super sweet, rich and velvety. Really big raisin and sultana notes, reminiscent of clootie dumplings. Mocha and cocoa. Just a hint of cinnamon.

Finish

Long and syrupy. Deceptively smooth - no indication that this sits at a chunky 59.1% vol.
