This 12-year-old Glenrothes was bottled at 61.3% ABV as part of the Darkness range and yielded 502 bottles. The whisky was matured in oak before being finished in Oloroso sherry octave casks, small specially coopered casks that intensify the interaction between spirit and wood and amplify the sherry influence.
