An example of the very much sought after wood finished Glenmorangie's that were bottled around the turn of the Millennium.
Distilled in 1981 and spent two years finishing in Ex-Sauternes sweet white wine casks from Bordeaux and bottled at 21 years old.
A darker, richer and more complex version of the currently available 12 year old Nectar d'or. Elegant and fruity pudding malt.

Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and a warm, mahogany-tinted edge—a luminous, honeyed glow.
Nose
Chocolate, honeycomb and creme brulee tops mingle with rum-raisin ice cream and marzipan; floral oak weaves through Demerara sugar, orange fondant, waxy mixed peel, and rich truffles.
Palate
Orange fondant and dark chocolate fuse with peach melba, banana and ginger, topped by creme brulee notes, with delicate florals and a soft, warming spice.
Finish
Caramelised peaches and orange surge through indulgent chocolate and rich honeycomb, finishing with creme brulee. A warm, dessert-like finale that lingers with creamy sweetness.
