Colour

Deep amber with a warm golden glow and a touch of mahogany at the rim.

Nose

Opulent sherry-laden nose with fig, raisin and date, lifted by dark chocolate and toffee. Toasted almond, vanilla and oak spice weave through a warm, wine-soaked bouquet, with subtle leather and caramel nuances.

Palate

Opulent and warming, this Glendullan opens with dense sherry influence: dark plum and fig, raisin and orange zest, all wrapped in velvety oak. Rich cocoa and espresso mingle with toasted nut and spice—cinnamon and clove—driving a long, luxurious finish with hints of leather and dried fruit.

Finish

Long, luxurious finish of dark plum and fig, braided with cocoa and spice. Sherry-influenced oak lingers with a velvety warmth, evolving into espresso and leather before tapering to toasted nut and faint tobacco.

Glendullan
(GLEN-dull-an) Glendullan was founded in 1897 by William Williams in Dufftown, and Diageo notes that it was the seventh distillery built in the town, which ties in with the old line that Dufftown stood on “seven stills.” The distillery takes its name from the Dullan Water, and its early history was shaped more by blending than by a large single malt presence, with Williams later merging into Greenlees Brothers before the business was absorbed into DCL in 1925.
