Colour

Rich golden amber with honeyed, sunlit copper undertones.

Nose

An inviting, gentle first aroma of toffee and caramel sweetness, with a whisper of vanilla from the bourbon cask and a soft, creamy oak backdrop.

Palate

Balanced with toffee, vanilla and butterscotch, with a delicate hint of dried orange and lemon peel.

Finish

Spice sits quietly in the background, giving way to a mellow, lingering finish where vanilla and a hint of citrus softly fade.

Glencadam
(glen-CADAM) Glencadam was founded in 1825 by George Cooper in Brechin, making it one of the older Highland distilleries still in operation. Its history includes a long period under blending companies rather than as a major single malt name in its own right, with ownership later passing through Hiram Walker and Allied Domecq before the distillery was mothballed in 2000. A new chapter began in 2003, when Angus Dundee Distillers acquired and reopened the site, with the first new production run under its ownership taking place that August.
