This Glencadam Reserva de Porto is a Highland single malt finished in Tawny Port hogsheads and bottled at 46% ABV. After its initial maturation in traditional oak, the whisky was transferred to carefully selected port casks, adding layers of red fruit sweetness and gentle spice while preserving Glencadam’s naturally elegant spirit.
Glencadam Distillery, founded in 1825 in the town of Brechin, is known for producing a refined and fruity Highland style, typically unpeated and matured in a variety of carefully selected casks. Port cask finishes such as this bring an additional dimension of richness to the distillery’s bright, orchard-fruit character.

Nose
A lush bouquet of rich dark fruits and candied cloves, with hints of blackcurrant liquorice and warming baking spices.

Layers of brambles and blackcurrant jam mingle with treacle toffees and Morello cherries, unfolding into plum crumble and cedarwood spices, delivering a warm, textured palate with refined sweetness and a subtle wood spice.
Finish
A warming finish of walnut, golden syrup and Victoria sponge cake, fading into toasty wood spices for a refined, lingering conclusion.
