From a distillery that was closed in 1999 and then mothballed until 2013 when after a refurb started distilling again this release is from the first year open after such a long time dormant. Matured for 8 years in Oloroso Sherry this Speyside evokes memories of home baked gingerbread loaf with sweet and sticky molasses.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery highlights and a warm mahogany core, glinting with burnished caramel.
Nose
Warm, inviting aromas of gingerbread and treacle rise, layered with Oloroso sweetness. Rich dried fruit—fig and date—meet toasted oak, almond and a hint of orange zest. Spices—cinnamon and clove—linger, weaving through molasses and caramel to reveal a velvety, sherried richness.
Palate
On the palate, velvety and warm, delivering dark molasses and treacle with gingerbread spice. Dried fig and orange zest mingle with oak-forward vanilla as Oloroso influence pours in toffee, nuttiness and a lingering confection-like sweetness that coats the palate with a luxurious finish.
Finish
Long, silky finish drenched in warm Oloroso sweetness—molasses and treacle mingle with home-baked gingerbread, a touch of dried fig and orange zest. Toasted oak and spice linger, slowly fading into vanilla warmth.
