Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with mahogany depth and a copper-gold glow.
Nose
Aromas unfold with fragrant orchard fruit and creamy vanilla, layered with dried fig and almond from the sherry cask. Subtle toffee, honey and a whisper of orange zest mingle with warm oak, spice and a hint of leather, revealing a sophisticated, long-lived Speyside bouquet.
Palate
Silky, sherried palate with dark fruit and nutty depth. Dried fig, raisin and orange rind mingle with rich toffee and cocoa, while warm spice like cinnamon and clove shapes a refined, velvety sweetness. Oak and caramel lengthen the finish, leaving a suave, slightly leathered elegance.
Finish
An expansive, refined finish with velvety sherry sweetness, warm spices and dark fruit. Cocoa, walnut and a touch of toffee linger, giving way to a polished oak tannin that slowly fades into a long, graceful warmth.
