Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep copper-amber with rich amber and mahogany undertones, a warm, glistening gold-brown hue.
Nose
Dark fig and raisin lift from the glass, entwined with dried plum and sultana sweetness. Rich PX sherry notes layer caramel, toffee and orange zest, while vanilla and spice (cinnamon, nutmeg) weave through the profile. A plush, oak-kissed warmth hints at leather and cacao, finishing with lingering ripe fruit.
Palate
Silky and rich, the palate opens with dark prune, fig and caramel, lifted by Pedro Ximénez sweetness. Raisin, toffee and velvety malt weave with ginger and clove, delivering a mouthfilling, spice-kissed core that stretches into a long, chocolatey finish. Oak-driven and refined, a sherry-laced Irish malt at its best.
Finish
Long, indulgent finish of rich PX sherry, with ripe raisin, fig and date lingering in warm caramel and dark chocolate. Spiced oak weaves through, fading slowly to an elegant, cocoa-dusted glow, leaving a gentle warmth on the tongue and a final whisper of pepper.
