Cask Strength Single Cask

An independant bottling of a single cask Cragganmore by Master of Malt. This was distilled on the 8th March 1991 and it was aged in refill hogshead cask 1146 for 20 years before being bottled on the 10th November 2011. A release of 283 bottles, all at natural cask strength.

Colour

Deep amber-gold with a warm coppery glow and sunlit honey highlights.

Nose

Creamy, malty nose with buttery, juicy barley. Subtle whispers of cinnamon, treacle and toffee apple mingle with warm oak—pure Speyside elegance in bloom.

Palate

Thick, juicy, unctuous barley malt coats the palate, revealing apple cake and banana loaf with a silky vanilla latte sweetness.

Finish

Grows spicier toward the tail, with cinnamon and cloves unfolding over stewed apple, leaving a warm, enduring finish.

Cragganmore
(Crag-an-MOOR) Cragganmore was founded in 1869 by John Smith at Ballindalloch in Speyside. Smith had already worked at distilleries including The Glenlivet, Macallan, Glenfarclas and Wishaw before building Cragganmore, and the site was chosen with transport in mind: it became the first distillery in Speyside designed to take direct advantage of railway access. The name comes from the nearby craggy hill, Creag Mhòr.
