Caisteal Chamuis Heavily Peated - Double Barrelled Blended Malt Whisky
Out of stock
“Castle Camus,” for non-Gaelic speakers, is an enigma of Whisky that is heavily peated, yet incredibily smooth. In a traditional Hebridean style, Caisteal Chamuis is a blended Whisky that offers complex layers of smokiness.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and a smoke-kissed mahogany glow, a warm, glossy shade that hints at sherry richness.
Nose
Powerful peat smoke rises, edged with maritime salt and iodine. Creamy vanilla and toffee unfold, with a subtle sherry fruit note, while oak and ash lend restrained complexity—an inviting Hebridean perfume.
Palate
Deep peat smoke coats the palate with coastal brine and toasted barley. Velvet and full-bodied, it carries toffee and dark chocolate, evolving into spice and dried fruit with a touch of sherry sweetness. The double-barrel maturation adds supple, lacquered richness, leaving a long, refined smoky finish.
Finish
Long, peat-smoked finish with coastal salt and ember, wrapped in sherry-influenced sweetness. Cocoa, dried fruit and warm spice linger, fading to honeyed oak and a final whisper of smoke.
