A Bunnahabhain single malt from The Octave series, this 15 year old was distilled in 2008 and matured in an Oloroso sherry octave cask before bottling at 53.9% ABV.
Octave casks, much smaller than traditional sherry casks, intensify wood interaction and concentrate flavour. The Oloroso maturation brings rich dried fruit sweetness, nutty depth and warming spice, complementing Bunnahabhain’s naturally coastal, malt-driven character with layered sherry richness and depth.

Burnished amber with coppery highlights and mahogany undertones, a warm, sherried glow.
Nose
Coastal and comforting, the nose opens with gentle Oloroso sherry mingling with earthy, nutty depth. Seaweed and a whisper of smoke drift over dried-fruit sweetness, with almond and spice knitting a maritime malt.
Palate
On the palate, a gentle sherry sweetness sits atop a malt-driven, coastal core. Earthy notes mingle with seaweed brine and a veil of smoke, while toasted almond and hazelnut lend texture and depth, warmed by subtle spice and a soft oak finish.
Finish
Long, warming finish of dried fruit and toasted nuts, carried by Oloroso sweetness with a subtle coastal salt. Plum and fig linger, joined by almond, spice and a whisper of smoke, leaving a refined maritime finish that echoes Bunnahabhain’s malt-driven core.
