Tasting Notes
Colour
Pale gold with a sunlit straw hue, a whisper of warm honey at the rim.
Nose
Warm barley and toasted oak rise with a sea-salted breeze and a whisper of peat. Sherry-dark fruits—figs and raisins—tangle with vanilla, orange zest, and spice, all carried by a bold, high-proof glow that hints at an ancient Islay recipe revived in bright American oak.
Palate
On the palate it is bold and warming, a waxy, mouth-coating texture. Sherried fruit—raisin, fig, a touch of burnt sugar—meets bright vanilla and tempered spice. White pepper, ginger and almond mingle with a coastal iodine edge, while American oak lends cedar‑toasted complexity. The finish is long and warming, with a gentle smoke, hints of salt, and lingering sweetness.
Finish
Long, warming finish of spicy oak, vanilla and toasted almond, evolving into dried fruit. A coastal saltiness and mineral bite persist, carried by a steady, warming heat that lingers into a quiet afterglow.
