Colour

Bright golden straw with a gentle sunlit amber glow.

Nose

Bright orchard fruit and lemon zest mingle with creamy vanilla and almond, touched by a gentle sherry warmth. A hint of Islay sea breeze and mineral brine drift through the aroma, while light malt and oak spice lend a polished, coastal gravitas.

Palate

Silky, creamy palate with lemon zest, green apple and pear, bathed in vanilla and creamy oak. A delicate maritime spine - salt air and a whisper of iodine - adds depth, while a gentle, lingering sweetness and light citrus keep the finish clean.

Finish

Long, refined finish with smooth vanilla and oak; a gentle coastal brightness lingers, leaving a soft sweetness and a whisper of spice.

Bruichladdich
(brook-LADDIE) Bruichladdich distillery is the home of four different malts: the unpeated Bruichladdich, the heavily peated Port Charlotte, the even more peated (and rarely seen) Lochindaal and the super heavily peated Octomore. The distillery was built in 1881 by the Harvey Brothers and at the time it was viewed as a very modern establishment.  It is situated in The Rhinns, in the west of the island, overlooking Loch Indaal. It ran under a succession of different owners including Whyte and Mackay and Murray McDavid before being purchased by Remy Cointreau in 2012.
