Tasting Notes
Colour
Dark amber with coppery, mahogany undertones.
Nose
Sherry-rich fruit greets the nose: dark plum, fig and sultana layered with date syrup over polished oak. Orange zest, almond paste and brown sugar add warmth, while a breath of sea air and a whisper of resinous smoke linger. Velvety, balanced and generous—an aroma that speaks to patient maturation and true Sherry influence from Bruichladdich.
Palate
Silky, mouth-coating palate with sherry-matured sweetness—fig and raisin fruit, glazed cherry, dark cocoa and toffee. Nutty almond notes dance with gentle spice (nutmeg, clove) and polished oak. A touch of coastal salt lingers, lifting the sweetness into a refined, long finish.
Finish
Long, refined finish that evolves from delicate peat into lush sherry-soaked fruit, with cocoa-dusted oak and a whisper of sea salt. Lingering warmth carries fig and almond notes, finishing with a soft, resinous sweetness and a final breath of maritime air.
