Tasting Notes

Colour

Golden amber with a sunlit honey glow and a whisper of copper at the edge.

Nose

Smoked marmalade with pineapple grilled on a seaside BBQ, over aromatic wood chips; vanilla, spice, earthy chocolate, whiffs of a fish-smoke house, tarry toffee and oily ship rope.

Palate

Smoked heather, sweet toffee and waxy kumquat mingle with peppery chocolate as oak and peat sit in elegant balance, with buttery corn on the cob and a final note of old-fashioned fudge.

Finish

Peppery smoked malt lingers with mellow buttery oak, while waxy orange and smoked vanilla fudge drift in for a long, coastal finish.
