Tasting Notes
Colour
Pale gold with a bright sunlit honey hue and a whisper of amber at the rim.
Nose
Coastal and refined, it opens with sea spray, gentle peat smoke and sun-warmed grain. Vanilla bean, creamy caramel and soft toffee mingle with lemon zest and almond, while marine iodine lends a salty edge. Subtle oak and waxy polish frame a mature Islay nose, hinting at decades spent in Bowmore’s No. 1 Vaults in six bourbon casks.
Palate
Silky, oil-laden on the palate, Bowmore White Bowmore marries maritime peat and sea-salt with vanilla and honeyed toffee from six bourbon casks. Subtle citrus zest and almond lift the mid-palate as a delicate smoke and warming spice emerge. The finish is long and refined, a coastal chorus of mineral salt, vanilla sweetness and lingering smoke.
Finish
Long and refined, the finish is maritime and softly smoky. Sea-salt and citrus zest cling to vanilla-kissed oak, while a gentle peat echo lingers. Warm caramel and almond sweetness unfold, fading to a delicate spice and nutty oak that endures with quiet elegance.
