Tasting Notes

Colour

Dark amber with mahogany undertones and a burnt-brown, shadowed glow.

Nose

Ashy peat smoke with aromatic heather honey, salted mocha fudge, some waxy citrus and coastal maritime notes, nutty dark chocolate and polished oak.

Palate

A rich, tarry and earthy palate with peppery smoked meat and dark soy or balsamic-marinated shellfish on a coastal BBQ. A fat, oily body with black pepper over stewed strawberry and charred orange rind.

Finish

Long, peppery finish with tarry-ashy peat smoke. Bitter chocolate and smoked coffee grounds linger, followed by waxy charred orange rind and a flambe plum pudding note.
