Bladnoch Flora & Fauna Single Malt Scotch Whisky 10 Year Old
Out of stock
Flora and Fauna, nicknamed by the late whisky writer, Michael Jackson, was a themed series of distillery only single malt whisky releases. Each distillery was given a particular creature as its symbol, which is elegantly displayed on each bottle's beautiful label.
The Broad Leaved Helleborine still grows behind this distillery and this is Jim Murrays highest rated Bladnoch bottle. This is also the last ever Diageo release under their ownership of Bladnoch

"This is probably the ultimate Bladnoch, certainly the best i have tasted in over 25 years. This Flora and Fauna bottling by then owners United Distillers should be regarded as the must get at all costs Bladnoch. For those few of us lucky enough enough to experience this, this dram is nothing short of a piece of Lowland legend and folklore."

Tasting Notes
Colour
Warm, sunlit amber with honey-gold highlights and a coppery edge, glistening with sherry-kissed depth.
Nose
Delicate, honeyed nose with orchard fruit at the fore. Sherry-softened sweetness lingers alongside dried fig, almond and vanilla, waking gentle spice and polished oak. Floral whispers weave through, brightened by a soft citrus zest and a refined, lingering perfume.
Palate
Silky and refined on the palate, this 10-year-old reveals sherried sweetness with dried fig, raisin and orange zest, woven with cocoa and toasted almond. Subtle spice—cinnamon and white pepper—drifts through a creamy vanilla oak backdrop. Medium-bodied with a velvety texture, it finishes long and luxurious, leaving warm fruit and cocoa lingering.
Finish
Long, satin finish with sherried sweetness and refined spice. Dried fig, orange zest and walnut unfold against cocoa and oak, leaving a warm, honeyed glow that gently lingers.
