Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and a warm mahogany edge.
Nose
An autumnal bouquet of Christmas ham and dark treacle toffee, entwined with clove, honey and mixed peel. Dried fruits glow beneath sweet-savoury smoke, while leather and polished oak lend depth, grounded by earthy forest floor and ripe plums.
Palate
Thick-cut dark marmalade greets the palate with Bovril heat, mounted by peppery oak and earthy truffles. Savory smoked mushrooms linger above treacle-toffee sweetness, delivering bold, autumnal depth and a warming, long finish.
Finish
A long, mouthfilling finish of peppery mocha and forest-floor fruit, with distant smoke, punctuated by blood orange and a dark honey-glazed ham sweetness.
