Sherry-cask richness bathes the bouquet: dark fruit notes of raisin, fig and date mingle with toffee, almond and a hint of orange zest. Vanilla and warm oak add depth, while whispers of leather and cocoa suggest aged elegance and restrained spice.

Palate

Silky and well‑bodied, this sherry‑cask edition coats the palate with luxuriant sweetness: fig, raisin and toffee, brightened by orange zest and gentle spice. Toasted almond and cocoa deepen the mid-palate, while velvet oak lends structure for a long, refined finish with subtle cacao and spice notes.

Finish

An elegant, long finish that is sherry-warmed and deeply fruity, with raisin and fig notes, hints of orange zest and toasted oak, and a lingering, velvety spice that coats the palate into a refined, chocolate-amber finale.

Bell’s traces its roots to Arthur Bell, a Perth wine and spirits merchant who began vatting malt whiskies together in 1851 to create a more consistent blended Scotch. The “Extra Special” trademark was registered in 1895 and later appeared with the Bell’s name in 1904, becoming the basis of the long-running Bell’s blend. Blair Athol, founded in 1798, became closely tied to the brand after Arthur Bell & Sons acquired the distillery in 1933.
