Ardnahoe Cask Strength is composed exclusively of spirit matured in first-fill bourbon barrels, hand selected for their fullness of character.

This Batch 1 has been aged for five years and is offered at its natural cask strength of 60.9%, and is bottled with no artificial colouring and no chill-filtration.

Coastal brine, earthy peat and rich cocoa on the nose. Orchard fruits, herbal tea and salted caramel on the palate, leads into a smoky finish with citrus undertones.

Golden-amber with warm coppery undertones

Nose

Coastal brine, earthy peat and rich cocoa form the nose, a saline, mineral bouquet with dark chocolate tones.

Palate

On the palate, orchard fruits fuse with herbal tea and salted caramel in a full, cask-strength bite. Bourbon-barrel sweetness and a hint of coastal peat drive a smoky finish with citrus undertones.

Finish

Long, smoky finish with bright citrus undertones lingers over a hint of coastal brine and cocoa, slowly fading into herbal tea.

Ardnahoe
(ard-na-HOE) Ardnahoe was founded by Hunter Laing & Co., the Glasgow independent bottler established by Stewart Laing and his sons Andrew and Scott in 2013. The Laing family secured a four-acre site by Loch Ardnahoe on Islay’s north-east coast in 2015, with work beginning soon after planning approval. Distillation started in October 2018, the first cask was filled on 9 November that year, and Ardnahoe opened to visitors in April 2019 as Islay’s ninth distillery.
