Production is built around a heavily peated Islay style, using malt peated to around 40ppm, long fermentation and slow distillation. Ardnahoe is particularly notable for having the only worm tub condensers on Islay, alongside unusually long lyne arms, helping create a richer, fruit-led and slightly oily spirit. Its first single malt, Ardnahoe Inaugural Release, arrived in 2024 as a five-year-old whisky matured in ex-bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry casks, bottled at 50% ABV without chill filtration or added colour.
