Ardnahoe
(ard-na-HOE) Ardnahoe was founded by Hunter Laing & Co., the Glasgow independent bottler established by Stewart Laing and his sons Andrew and Scott in 2013. The Laing family secured a four-acre site by Loch Ardnahoe on Islay’s north-east coast in 2015, with work beginning soon after planning approval. Distillation started in October 2018, the first cask was filled on 9 November that year, and Ardnahoe opened to visitors in April 2019 as Islay’s ninth distillery.
