An Oa is a softer, sweeter expression of Ardbeg. Matured in a combination of ex-Bourbon, ex-PX Sherry and virgin oak casks, this Whisky has an abundance of smoky power, mellowed by a delectable, smooth sweetness. A classic Ardbeg peat.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with a coppery sheen and hints of mahogany.
Nose
Charred old tea chests and gunpowder tea fuse with seaweed from a coastal BBQ, while clove oil and chamois leather evoke salt-rock pools. Lemon balm lifts the aroma as soapy, peppery peat mingles with pineapple chunks, ginger powder, and a savory note of salty smoked bacon crisps and liquorice.
Palate
Salty beef crisps meet green chili and aromatic black tea, then sooty vanilla and toasted lemon rind provide a citrus-wood lift. Herbal lozenges fuse with smoked sultana and raisin while ginger-mocha threads weave through, finishing with a long, peppery sweet peat smoke.
Finish
Long, peppery finish with warming spice, carrying gunpowder tea, black liquorice, sooty pineapple, green chili flakes, salty rock pools and toasted coffee beans.
