"This is a great distillery: i am always a little disappointed when bottlings of it aren't up to this standard. Gordon and Macphail set the benchmark. One of the most old-fashioned styles of malt still found in the Highlands and almost perfectly weighted."

Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich copper-gold with a deep amber core and burnished mahogany edges.
Nose
Elegant and inviting, the nose offers honeyed orchard fruit and warm malt, folded with a soft sherry sweetness. Dried fig and raisin emerge, mingled with vanilla, toffee and a whisper of almond. Velvet oak and gentle spice frame a classic Highland bouquet, sophisticated and timeless.
Palate
Silky and honeyed, it opens with orchard fruits—peach and pear—folded into toffee, vanilla and a restrained sherry glow. The mid-palate broadens with dried fruit, fig and a gentle spice, supported by creamy oak and almond nuttiness. The finish is long and balanced, with orange zest, cocoa and a refined Highlands elegance.
Finish
An enduring, honeyed finish of dried orchard fruits and toffee, lifted by subtle sherry spice. Oak warmth and orange zest trail into a long, silky fade, leaving a refined, nutty echo to linger.
