Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with a copper-gold glow and mahogany-tinged edges, a warm, luxurious hue evocative of sherry-matured richness.
Nose
Opulent sherry-touched aroma with dried figs, raisins, and dates, lifted by orange zest. Espresso and dark chocolate mingle with toasted almond, cinnamon, and nutmeg, while rancio oak, leather, and a hint of tobacco add depth and elegance.
Palate
On the palate, Rhinnesdhu 1975 delivers a thick, oily mouthfeel cloaked in deep sherry. Dried fruit—fig, raisin, cherry—coats with cocoa and dark chocolate, touched by toffee. Spices emerge—cinnamon, clove, nutmeg—alongside oak and caramel, shaping a warm, polished sweetness. The finish is long and velvety, with peppery warmth and a final whisper of toasted nut.
Finish
Long, sherry-soaked finish of opulent dark fruit and spice. Raisin and fig unfold with orange zest, toasted almond and cocoa, while vanilla and toasted oak linger. A warming, elegant tail that fades to a soft, syrupy sweetness with a touch of resin and peppery warmth.
