Torabhaig is a new distillery that blends traditional and contemporary approaches. The first distillery to be built on Skye in 190 years, it has been fully operational since January 2017. They distil in beautiful copper stills as you would expect, but chose to ferment in traditional wooden washbacks that add complexity of flavour in the whisky.
This limited release is a bolder expression of Allt Gleann and will close the Allt Gleann chapter of the Legacy Series. Bottled unreduced, it shows the confidence we have in the quality of the whisky and highlights the strength of the signature style.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with a coppery glow and hints of mahogany at the edge.
Nose
Bonfire smoke and peat mingle with a delicate sweetness, while vanilla-led oak spice threads warmth through the aroma, inviting and refined.
Palate
On the palate, weighty smoke and maritime salinity drive a malt-forward profile, edged by robust wood spice. Subtle grain, capsicum, and green apple lift the sweetness, while peat embers glow and a touch of cedar and sawdust adds structure.
Finish
An insistence of oaky spice lingers, delivering a warm, teasing spark of fire on the palate. The finish softens into cedary smoke with refined, lingering warmth.
