Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with burnished copper highlights and a hint of mahogany.
Nose
Opulent vanilla and butterscotch from first-fill bourbon, braided with PX sherry sweetness—raisin, fig and prune—enveloping the nose. Caramel oak, maple, and orange zest emerge with hints of cacao and toasted almond. A warm, fruity bouquet recalls Christmas cake, unfolding with depth and spice for a rich, cask-strength Highland treasure.
Palate
Luxuriously thick and oil-rich, the palate delivers PX-drenched fruit—prune, fig and raisin—kissed by bourbon vanilla, caramel and toasted toffee from the first-fill cask. Dark chocolate and espresso nibs deepen the profile as warm spice—cinnamon and clove—frame the sweetness. A bold oak backbone supports a long, decadent finish where dried fruit lingers with a velvety kiss of sherry and vanilla.
Finish
Opulent and long, this finish carries PX sweetness—sun-dried figs, dates and raisins with dark chocolate, toffee and toasted oak. A warm bourbon vanilla thread lingers, softly spice-kissed and enduring.
