Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich copper-gold with warm amber depths and a subtle mahogany edge.
Nose
A stately bouquet of honeyed orchard fruit—apple and pear—mingle with toasted oak and vanilla. Dried fig and raisin deepen the aroma, while almond, toffee and spice add dimension; citrus zest lends brightness, and a waxy, old-cask polish threads through, hinting at decades of careful maturation.
Palate
Silky and full-bodied, this 40-year Tomatin unfolds with dark fruit richness—prune, fig and raisin—knotted with chocolatey notes and a touch of caramel. Sherry warmth coats refined oak, while spice develops—clove, nutmeg—alongside a hint of orange zest. The palate persists with a luxurious, velvety finish that lingers softly.
Finish
Long, luxurious finish of rich sherry sweetness—prune, raisin and fig—woven with cocoa, toffee and warm spice. Velvet warmth lingers, carried by toasted oak into a refined, elegant fade.
