A batch of three ex-sherry butts from an unnamed distillery on the Orkney Islands was used to create this single malt, distilled in 2007 and aged for more than 13 years. This is an earthy and succulent whisky, infused with gentle smoke and a touch of spice.

Tasting Notes
Nose
Cedar wood and homemade strawberry-and-vanilla jam combine with smoked chimney cake and chocolate-covered raisins. Just-cut lumber lends an earthy sweetness to the aroma.
Palate
Sticky honey is drizzled on sherry trifle, while next, refreshing cranberry juice and oozing strawberry fondant come to the forefront. A little bit of clove spice blends with a penny toffee.
Finish
Orange zest and liquorice appear towards the end, along with a syrupy sweetness. Smooth-yet-spicy 50% cocoa chili chocolate leaves a lasting impression.
