The latest batch of independantly bottled Macallan. This batch, # 20, is a 28 year old single malt and as such, always offers some of the best value in older age stated Macallan whisky around.
The nose is quite floral and fruity with apples and oranges, a slight honeyed and butteryness is there too. The palate is oily and full with oaky spice, forest fruits ansd a light chocolate note. The finish is quite short with plenty of barley notes, cream and caramel.
Much more focus on American oak here, so in keeping with older varoations of the Fine and Triple cask.
