The Macallan Speymalt Single Malt Scotch Whisky 21 Year Old · 1991 Vintage
Out of stock
Gordon & MacPhail have been purveyors of fine goods across three centuries and, over many years, have built up and nurtured special relationships with local producers. Among these are several local whisky distilleries in the Speyside region from whom they purchase new-make spirit to be matured in their own oak casks.
However, there is only one distillery for which they reserve the title ‘Speymalt from Macallan Distillery’.
Established in 1824 and situated overlooking the fishing beats on the River Spey, the Macallan Distillery produces a wonderfully complex spirit, which they then carefully mature in quality oak casks ordered specifically for the ‘Speymalt from Macallan Distillery’ range.
Each bottling carries the vintage of distillation and the year of bottling, capturing an exceptionally mature single malt whisky.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with luminous honey tones and copper-tinged highlights.
Nose
Rich dried fruits—raisin, fig and orange zest—rise over a velvet base of vanilla and toffee, with sherry-influenced oak lending depth. Subtle spices—nutmeg, clove and cinnamon—bring warmth, while cocoa and leather hints finish the bouquet. A mature, elegant Speyside nose that speaks of long maturation in exquisite casks.
Palate
Silky and lush, with dark raisin and fig fruit, touched by orange zest and cocoa. Sherry depth layers over refined oak, crowned by cinnamon and spice, and a long, warming finish that fades with subtle oak and cocoa echoes.
Finish
Luxuriously long and silky, the finish unfolds with dark fruit compote, orange zest and cocoa, paired with cinnamon and clove spice. It lingers in warm oak, ending with a refined kiss of sherry sweetness.
