The fourth release in the 'A Night on Earth' series celebrates the arrival of the first light of the new year in one of the most easterly countries in the world - New Zealand.
In New Zealand, people traditionally welcome the new year on the beach, celebrating with festivities, parties, and fireworks. The sunrise symbolizes the beginning of a new chapter and is embraced as a time for joy, personal reflection, and fresh starts, the collaborator this year is New Zealand artist and illustrator Bonnie Brown, a multidisciplinary artist with a focus on bold, colourful digital illustration.
This limited-edition single malt captures The Macallan’s signature richness, crafted from exceptional sherry-seasoned oak casks and American ex-bourbon barrels.
The whisky reveals a warm, inviting character with notes of vanilla, toffee apple, shortbread, and gentle oak spice, balanced by hints of citrus and honeyed sweetness. Beautifully presented in bespoke packaging inspired by dawn’s soft glow, it embodies The Macallan’s artistry and tradition in every sip.
